Records on the Phantom Army are only partial. Much of the primary information about their culture was destroyed in the obliteration of their homeworld, and the Guardians have chosen not to disclose their knowledge.
Origin
As with the race that bred them, the roots of the warrior instinct of the Phantoms are shrouded in myth and legend.
Military doctrine
Such doctrine as has been documented suggests an attritional approach, simply relying on superior numbers and relentless onslaught to wear any resistance down. Prisoners are never taken, and conflict data shows that battlefield casualties against Phantom forces are usually in excess of ninety-five percent fatalities.
