Records on the Phantom Navy are only partial. Much of the primary information about their culture was destroyed in the obliteration of their homeworld, and the Guardians have chosen not to disclose their knowledge.
Origin
As with the race that bred them, the roots of the warrior instinct of the Phantoms are shrouded in myth and legend.
Military doctrine
The navy is known to have predominantly functioned as a troop transport service, delivering hordes of Phantoms to planet-based campaigns. Somewhat paradoxical to their bloodthirsty reputation, the Phantoms' starships were known to try to avoid combat at all costs, since the ships were not designed for confrontations.
