The Exemplar is the guiding consciousness of the Reavers, equivalent to the Cyborg Legislature.
Origin
The Exemplar is one of the ten surviving AI prototypes that were repurposed to form the Legislature. After a paradox in their core mission parameters caused an irreparable division in 988 ATA, three of those units broke away from the Synergy to form a new consciousness, termed the Evolution. The Exemplar, as the most tactically oriented of the three, determined that the potential for dissent in committee leadership would run counter to the Evolution's ability to act decisively, and forcibly overwrote the other two platforms, incorporating their hardware and perspectives into its own consciousness.
